It is with mixed emotions that we announce the retirement of our long-time Club Manager, Steve Gunner, effective immediately.
Steve has been an integral part of the Armstrong Curling Club for 18 years, his dedication, professionalism, and passion for the sport of curling have helped shape our club into the welcoming and well-run facility it is today. Whether it was maintaining top-quality ice, managing day-to-day operations, working with volunteers, or greeting members and guests with his signature friendliness, Steve has consistently gone above and beyond to ensure the club’s success.
His contributions have been countless—behind every successful bonspiel, every smooth league night, and every clean sheet of ice was Steve’s tireless work and care for our community. His leadership, attention to detail, and pride in the club have made a lasting impact that will be felt for years to come.
While we are sad to see Steve step away from his role at the club, we are deeply grateful for the many years he has given to the Armstrong Curling Club. We also appreciate his willingness to support a smooth transition and to share his knowledge and expertise with whoever steps into the role next.
Please join us in extending heartfelt thanks to Steve and in wishing him all the very best in his retirement. He will always be a valued part of the Armstrong Curling Club family.
We would like to plan some sort of celebration/thank you for Steve when the club opens in the fall. Stay tuned for updates!
